Reuven Goldberg

psychologist, over 3 years of experience.

Engaging in therapy is a courageous act of self-love and discovery. Life’s challenges and traumas often leave us feeling confused and estranged from ourselves, without a clear path forward. As a registered psychologist, I specialize in IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapy, but also work with other modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy depending on the goals of each individual. I am here to be your guide, to help you understand and navigate your inner world so that it can be brought back to balance and healing. I believe that each person has many different aspects to his/her personality and that we often don’t have control over these “parts” when we react automatically to situations in the outside world. Through building a trusting relationship with these different parts of yourself, I will help you to understand why they do what they do and bring healing to areas within you that hold pain and vulnerability.

Our work will begin by getting a deep understanding of you as a person and what brought you to therapy. Together we will begin to map out your internal system, identifying all the different parts and relationships between them (patterns of thoughts, behaviors, and emotions) and then begin to get into dialogue with each of them to understand how they are trying to help, and what they need in order to relax. As trust builds between you and your parts, we will gain access to the deepest places of your system and release the pain and vulnerability stored there. Whether your struggles involve relationship issues, complex traumas, anxiety, depression, addictions, or interfering limiting beliefs, I look forward to getting to know you and helping you become your best self.
